Since 17 October 2022 Bernhard Kirchmair is the new plant manager for our sawmill at TROGER HOLZ.  

He succeeds Walter Embacher, who has left our company to take on new professional challenges.

In his new position as operations manager, Bernhard Kirchmair is responsible for managing around 40 employees and controlling the entire sawmill.

"Not on the wrong track." Bernhard has by no means set out aimlessly on his career path. Quite the opposite: he literally grew into the sawmill trade. Bernhard completed an apprenticeship as a wood and saw technician in his father's company as well as training as a state-approved master sawyer at the Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Rosenheim.

At 35, Bernhard has almost 20 years of direct professional experience in the sawmill sector: from manual to industrial production to staff management, personnel and divisional responsibility.

Bernhard, who was born with the scent of nature and above all a passion for wood, is looking forward to the new challenges with excitement and joy: "I am happy to be part of a compactly managed family business. A craft with tradition, a family-run business with tradition, but one that also never stops looking ahead. Working with people at eye level and the passion for wood excites me both professionally and personally."

And we are pleased that with Bernhard we have a down-to-earth and shirt-sleeved "Sawyer" on board who brings valuable know-how, management experience and comprehensive expertise in the wood industry.
